"The Heidelberg Project is a Donor-based community organization designed to improve the lives of people and neighbourhoods through art. We use art as a catalyst to simulate positive change in an urban community" To you and me that translates to a load of random objects painted and written on, usually rounded off with a shoe popped on top... But if it helps to inspire children and with a view to transform lives then i'm all for it!

Detroit, I love this city
As promised this weekend was jam packed with exploring Detroit city. It started with the sweetest ride ever!!!
We headed over to Detroit to check out the Eastern Market... basically 3 huge cow sheds full of beautiful fresh fruit and veg. Heaven!
Next we downsized our ride to 2 wheels to really see the sights. Meet my very knowledgeable tour guide!
Detroit was like nothing I had seen before. Parts of it completely derelict, right next to pristine mansions. It's sad to see so many empty burnt out houses which were obviously beautiful in their hay day, back when Detroit wasn't bankrupt. Also there is only 1 groceries store in the whole of the city - whatttt?!
In the evening we joined the thousands to watch the Detroit Tigers. I'm not sure the Americans would agree but from the few rules I did pick up, it's basically glorified rounders!! We roared and cheered as the sun set, washing down our hot dogs down with light beer. A brilliant end to a brilliant day.
I was very dubious about eating this guy but it had to be done.
